We’re so grateful to have your family with us for the year ahead, and we’re excited to guide your little one through a season filled with joy, creativity, confidence-building and connection.
Our Minis Program isn’t just about learning steps — it’s about helping young children explore movement, develop their imagination, build social skills, and grow into confident, expressive little humans. We care deeply about nurturing your child’s mind, body and spirit while supporting their early learning in a gentle, playful and age-appropriate way.
At The Base, we believe joy, wellbeing and early foundations go hand in hand.
Our teaching is intentional, warm and grounded in early childhood best practice. We focus on routine, clear expectations and plenty of encouragement to help our Minis feel safe, supported and proud of their efforts.
Your child will learn to follow instructions, take turns, build friendships, try new things and express themselves — all while having so much fun.
Our Minis Program gives children the chance to grow in confidence, explore creativity, build important skills, and shine onstage at the end of the year. Whether it’s their very first class or they’re returning for another year, our goal is to ensure they feel seen, celebrated and inspired every step of the way.

At The Base Performing Arts, we believe a child’s first experience with dance should feel magical, nurturing and full of joy. Our Minis program is designed to help little dancers build confidence, creativity and connection through movement and play.
We focus on supporting the whole child - their body, imagination, emotions and social development. Through age-appropriate technique, storytelling, music and creative exploration, our Minis learn to try new things, express themselves and feel proud of their progress.
Our approach is gentle, encouraging and child-centred. We value:
• kindness
• confidence-building
• imagination
• body awareness
• friendship and teamwork
For us, the most important “wins” at this age are bravery, joy, independence and the spark that comes from discovering what their little bodies can do.
Above all, our vision is to give every young dancer a safe, supportive start to their performing arts journey-one that nurtures who they are, not just how they dance.
